New Building Construction
New Construction Contractor in Ware, MA & Western Massachusetts
Building from scratch is the biggest construction decision most people ever make. You're not just picking finishes — you're choosing the foundation your family or business will stand on for decades. G2 Construction handles ground-up builds from the first shovel of dirt to the final coat of paint, with one crew and one point of contact the entire way.
Why Owners in Western MA Choose G2 for New Construction
On a new build, every trade stacks on top of the one before it. If the foundation is off by half an inch, the framing has to compensate. If the framing is wrong, the drywall and trim show it. The only way to keep a ground-up project on track is to have someone who understands the whole sequence running the job from day one — not just managing subs from a pickup truck.
Both G2 owners are on the site through every phase. We don't hand off to a project manager you've never met. When we pour your foundation, we're checking the form boards ourselves. When we frame, we're pulling strings and checking plumb. The result is a building that's square, level, and tight — the kind of work that makes finish carpenters happy and keeps your heating bills down.
We run a small operation on purpose. Less overhead means your money goes into the building, not into a sales office. And when you call with a question at 7 a.m. on a Tuesday, you're talking to the guy who poured your footings — not a receptionist taking a message.
Our Process
How a New Build Comes Together
Plans & Pre-Construction
We review your plans (or help you develop them), walk the lot, and give you a detailed estimate broken out by phase. We handle permitting, site planning, and utility coordination so nothing stalls the start date.
Foundation Through Dry-In
Excavation, foundation, framing, roofing, windows, and siding. The building is weather-tight and locked up. You can see the shape of your project and walk the rooms before interior work begins.
Interior Finish & Turnover
Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall, trim, cabinets, flooring, paint, and fixtures. We schedule inspections, handle the punch list, and hand you the keys to a finished building.

What Does New Construction Cost in Western MA?
Ground-up construction is the most variable project type we do. A 1,200-square-foot ranch on a slab is a completely different conversation than a 2,800-square-foot colonial with a full basement and a three-car garage. Site conditions matter too — ledge, wetlands, long driveways, and well/septic all affect the number. We don't publish per-square-foot prices because they're misleading without context. Call (413) 277-5066, tell us what you're planning, and we'll give you a straight answer based on real numbers.

Common Questions
New Construction FAQ
Do I need to have plans before I call you?
No. Some clients come to us with a full set of architect-drawn plans, and others come with a napkin sketch and a budget. Either way works. If you need plans drawn, we can connect you with a local architect or draftsman we work with regularly.
How long does it take to build a new home?
A typical single-family home takes 5–8 months from breaking ground to move-in, depending on size and complexity. That doesn't include the permitting and design phase, which can add 4–8 weeks depending on the town. We'll map out a detailed schedule before we start.
Can you build on my land even if it doesn't have utilities yet?
Yes. We coordinate well drilling, septic design and installation, electrical service, and driveway construction. Many of the lots in Ware, Belchertown, and the surrounding hill towns are undeveloped — we're used to building from scratch on raw land.
Do you handle the permitting?
Completely. We submit the building permit application, coordinate with the town's building department, schedule all required inspections (foundation, framing, insulation, plumbing, electrical, final), and obtain the certificate of occupancy.
What's included in your quote?
Everything from excavation to final cleanup. We break the estimate into phases — site work, foundation, framing, mechanicals, interior finish — so you can see exactly where every dollar goes. No allowances that balloon, no hidden costs, no "we'll figure it out later" line items.
